Hit by a surprise fatigue/pain tidal wave at work. As these things do, it came out of nowhere despite feeling great this morning. I had to be honest with myself and went home early. Keep YOU on your priority list...always!
This Thanksgiving, I am taking the time to make a list of the things that I am thankful for...still, despite my recent autoimmune disease diagnosis.
I am thankful for wonderful family and friends, and dogs who love me unconditionally.
I am thankful for the ability to adjust and adapt to new challenges.
I am thankful for leading a fulfilling career and possessing the academic expertise to help my fellow autoimmune disease warriors.
I am thankful that this is NOT a humira Thursday.
I am thankful that good days are always on the horizon.
I am thankful that I have found a passion for becoming a patient advocate and moving my research towards improving the patient experience.
